Who I Am
My name is Patti Naiser. I am here on this planet because of my Veteran family and military heritage.
My Dad, John L. Shea, was a Naval Aviator who proudly fought in WWII. My uncle William Shea joined the Army to serve our county on the battlefields of WWII and Korea. My cousin Steven Shea served in the Army during Desert Shield/Storm and the Global War on Terror. His son, Andrew, will be commissioned in the Army from Virginia Military Institute.
I am usually in the background of causes as a public relations professional. However, when I feel passionate about a cause, I’ll come to the forefront and push with all I can muster. This is one such cause.
Several of my colleagues and friends currently serving our military on active duty and National Guard were concerned that the planned-future replacement Louisville VA hospital would not be adequate to take care of their need and the growing Veteran population for when they retire.
I also heard from Veterans currently using the Robley Rex VA hospital on Zorn Avenue who were equally concerned that the site selection would be short-sighted and would not give them the benefits that they may need in the future, to include nursing home facilities and rehab centers.
That’s when I decided to create this website.
I don’t represent a Public Relations company, or any land owner, or Veteran Affairs, or any special interest group. I’m not a lobbyist paid to make a stand or promote a specific agenda.I’m a member of the Veteran family.
I’m passionate about ensuring our Veterans get the best care they deserve.
I care how our tax dollars are spent, ESPECIALLY for our Vets…especially coming out of a recession.
I care about the FUTURE of the Vets that will stand up to defend our country…the unborn Heroes who will be utilizing VA services decades to come.
My pride for my Veteran family runs deep and true through my veins. I consider all Veterans, all those who serve and have served our Nation, a member of my Veteran family.
With thanks,
